Mark Stansberry

July 5, 1956 — January 11, 2017

   Mark Alan Stansberry, 60, lifelong resident of Sioux City passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by friends and family on January 11, 2017.    
   Mark was born July 5, 1956 to Francis and Elaine Stansberry. He grew up in South Sioux City Nebraska and Hinton Iowa. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1974 and soon after attended barber school, a profession he would keep for the rest of his life.    
   Mark was known for his big personality and caring heart. He was one of the few people that continued making new and close friends throughout his entire life. He will be remembered by many for his lovingness, humor, and insight. He loved to play golf, visit Las Vegas, and spend time with his family and friends. He was a loving and compassionate father to his two sons and a caring and thoughtful person to everyone in his life.

   Mark is survived by his two sons Conner and Bryce Stansberry and their mother Nancy, his sister Toni Archibald and her two sons Chris and Shane. He is survived by his many cousins who he loved dearly and countless friends who were like family to him. He is also survived by his fuzzy pomeranian companion Sonic.

   He is preceded in death by his father and mother Francis and Elaine Stansberry and his sister and brother Connie Wilde and Dennis Wilde.

   Celebration of Life Service will be held at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel on 3220 Stone Park Blvd on Saturday January 14th, 2017 at 4 pm. Please join us for a celebration of Mark’s life. All are welcome to attend and share their memories of this unforgettable man.
