Sioux City, IA – Mary Louise Lesline, 77, of Sioux City died Monday, December 12, 2016, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
A joint memorial service for Mary Lesline and her sister Jane Hernandez who passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Merrill Muller will officiate the joint memorial service. No visitation or burial is planned.
Mary Louise, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Zimmerman) Wold, was born February 4, 1939, in Sioux City, IA. Mary was raised in the south bottom area of Sioux City. She attended school in Sioux City and went to Central High.
On April 9, 1961, Mary was united in marriage to Robert A. Lesline in Sioux City. To this union one son, Robert E., was born. The family made their home in Sioux City. Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed horseback riding, watching Western movies, and working cross-word puzzles. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always looked forward to attending the south bottom reunions.
Mary is survived by her son, Robert E. Lesline of Sioux City; one sister-in-law, Judy Sheley of South Sioux City, NE; four nieces and nephews: Lynne (Harold) Coffman of Bronson, IA, Kenny Sheley of Jackson, NE, Jewell Ann Sheley of Jackson, NE and Mike (Laura) Hernandez of Round Rock, TX.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert A. Lesline; and two siblings: Benjamin Sheley and Jane Hernandez.
