David W. Levin, 91 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Congregation Beth Shalom. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
David was born December 18, 1924 in Sioux City; he was the son of Joseph and Esther (Goodsite) Levin. David grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. He attended the University of Nebraska before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and serving in V-12 Program. Following the service, David came back to Sioux City and joined his father at Brodkey and Goodsite Jewelers. Later, David owned and operated The Grand Jewelers for many years.
David married Marcia M. Noodelman September 5, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and the Masonic Lodge. David loved to golf and to spend time with his family. His children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews meant the world to him.
Survivors include his wife Marcia of Sioux City; 3 children: Mark Levin and his wife Carol of Kansas City, MO, Nancy Levin Geyer and her husband Rick San Soucie of Dallas, TX and his 5 children, Daniel Levin of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren: Stephen Levin and his wife Michelle, Erin Geyer, Shea Geyer and Chad Kernodle and his wife Jill; several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Glazer.
