Sioux City, IA - Patricia A. “Patty” Cleveland, 79, of Sioux City died Friday, December 2, 2016, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be at a later date. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Patricia Ann Cleveland, daughter of Freeman and Beth (Bush) Cobb, was born Sunday, February 14, 1937 in Sioux City. She grew up and attended school in Sioux City.
On January 24, 1953, Patty was united in marriage to Neil Eugene Cleveland in Elk Point, SD. To this union three children were born: David, Dennis and Laurie. Patty was a homemaker and enjoyed having family gatherings at her home. In addition, she enjoyed camping and gambling.
Patty is survived by two sons: David Cleveland and Dennis (Kimberly) Cleveland both of Sioux City; five grandchildren: Stephanie and Justin Cleveland, Trisha Bugg, and Tim and Kimberly Thacker; seven great grandchildren; six siblings: Dick Cobb, Don (Barb) Cobb, Jim (Carolyn) Cobb, Bev (Larry) Hanson and Penny Hedermark all of Sioux City and Larry Dean Cobb; brother-in-law, Elroy Altimus; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil on April 20, 2016; one daughter, Laurie Nielsen; and six sisters: Betty Jensen, Carol Hartnett, Nancy Altimus, Judy Keleher, Connie McMullen and Barb Dokken.
Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
