Betty L. McDougall, 87 of Sergeant Bluff, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Reverend Scott Squires officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, November 28th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present at 6:00 p.m. Online condolences may be offered to the family at
www.meyerbroschapels.com Betty was born on November 4, 1929 in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa to Charles and Alice (Davis) Skinner. She attended school in Sergeant Bluff, graduating as Valedictorian and continued her education in nursing at Morningside College. Betty married Robert J. McDougall on January 21, 1950 in Sioux City. In her early years, Betty worked as a stenographer/secretary for the Sioux City Department of Social Welfare. The majority of Betty’s working career was at the Green Gables Restaurant as night manager/cashier. She was a lifetime resident of Sergeant Bluff.
Betty is survived by her husband Robert of Sergeant Bluff; daughter Sheryl McDougall of Minneaplois, MN, daughter Renee Montag of Boone, IA, son Mark McDougall of Glenwood, IA; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Roy.
Casket Bearers for the service will be Mark McDougall, Kyle McDougall, Martin Montag, and Raphael Montag.
