Marlene Bellis, 62, of Sioux City, was called to take her place among the angels in Heaven on Monday, November 7, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Sunnybrook Community Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel where the family will be present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a prayer service will be held at 7 PM.  Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com.

Marlene, daughter of LaVeral and Virginia (Clay) Combs, was born October 8, 1954, in Sioux City, Iowa. As a young girl, she grew up in North Sioux City, eventually moving to Sioux City. After her schooling, she worked production at various jobs and retired early due to a back injury.

Marlene attended various Baptist and Methodist churches. She was strong-willed and took great pride in her home and yard. She could always find time to go swimming and lay out.

Marlene is survived by three daughters, Michelle Bellis, Tina Bellis, and Theresa Roche all of Sioux City, Iowa; one son, Michael Bellis; eleven grandchildren: Derrick, Tyler, Tray, Sabrina, Jacob, Brandon, Mikayla, Mady, Landon, Logan and Lilly; three great-grandchildren: Devyn, Daniel and Chloe; a sister Linda; eight brothers: Gaylen, Jeff, Timmy, Tom, Carl, Mike, Ronny and Tracy; many nieces and nephews; and Jim, her special friend of many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Lori and Carolyn; and three brothers: Richard, Doug and Ed.
