Joan L.C. Bradstreet, 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at her home, after a long battle with COPD. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, where visitation be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Joan was born to Lewis and Ethel (Peterson) James in 1945 in Sioux City. She worked as a caregiver for several years before working as a teacher’s aide and later going to school to become a beautician.

Joan married Denny Bradstreet in 1977. She enjoyed crocheting many gifts for relatives and friends.

She is survived by her husband Denny, and her three children: Duane (Andrea) Hughes of Sioux City; Brenda (Bill) Droste of Orange Park, Florida; and Jodi (Jamie) Banks of Akron, Iowa; stepdaughter Angie Glann of Omaha, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Tyler Dawdy, a sister Rosalie Gunn, two brothers Walter “Sonny” James and Robert “Bob” James, and her parents.
