Donna Lou Chesnut, 75, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at a local care center.
Per Donna’s wishes, cremation will take place with services held at a later date.
Donna was born August 8, 1941 in Deming, New Mexico, the daughter of William Edword and Ufreshia Lou (Matthews) Short. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest area. Donna worked at various places, including the IRS, and in Real Estate and Property Management.
She enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, drawing, music, movie classics and collecting frogs. Donna was a very happy, loving, and fun mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Shiela Cummings of Sioux City, Suzanne (Jeff) Kenitzer of Fresno, CA, Yvonne Naylor (Steve Weaver) of Austin, TX, and Jim (Kathy) McCrain of Frisco, TX; grandchildren: James, Crystal, Josh, Jake, Devon, Dayne, Dustan, and Chance; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers: Patrick and Barton; and one sister Martha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne Chesnut, son Jason Edword, brothers John and Jack, and a great granddaughter.
She will be greatly missed, and forever loved by all those who knew her.
