Clem H. Hurley, Jr. 71 of Overland Park, KS and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Kansas City after a brief illness. Graveside services will be at noon on Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Clem was born November 18, 1944 in Sioux City; he was the son of Clement H and Dorothy (Tuttle) Hurley, Sr. His father passed away in July of 1944 and Dorothy later married William Gill and together they raised Clem and his siblings. Clem grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School in 1963 and then attended the University of Nebraska. Clem was a good athlete and he participated in football and basketball at Heelan. Clem was also an avid tennis player. Clem was in the car business and owned and operated the Friendly Ford Dealership. He also had owned the Cimmarina. Survivors include his children: Jennifer Hurley Beam of Topeka, KS, Kevin Hurley of Jefferson, SD, Alison Gray and her husband Reggie of Topeka, KS, Aaron Hurley and his wife Monique of Las Vegas, NV; his mother: Dorothy Gill of Overland Park, KS; his sister: Frances Hurley Doherty (Tom) of Leawood, KS, his brother: Edward Wellenstein (Debbie) of Overland Park , KS. Clem is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
