Robert L. Freeman

Robert L. Freeman 72 of Cushing, Iowa passed away Wednesday October 19, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Hsu of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at a later date  

Robert L. Freeman was born April 17, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of James and Francis (Snyder) Freeman. Robert graduated from high school and attended trade school for plumbing.  He married Patricia Cardwell on February 18, 1995 in Jefferson, South Dakota.  Mr. Freeman was self employed, as a master plumber doing plumbing, heating and air conditioning work in the Sioux City area.  Mr. Freeman was a member of the Local Plumber’s Union #234c.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering with items, watching westerns, animal planet, spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife Patricia of Cushing Iowa, two sons; Jeff Cardwell and Jim and Molly Pederson. Three daughters Julie A. Bell and her husband Shaun Sarff, Michele Pederson and her fiancé Jeff Combs and Marcia Mathison and her husband Bob.  One brother Mike Freeman and his wife Karen of St. Martins, MO  5 step children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 He is preceded in death by his parents one sister; Patti and two brothers; James and Bill Freeman.
