Leann Schuldt, 81, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at a local hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Reverend Merrill Muller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Leann was born January 27, 1935 in Manson, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Augusta Rita (Vosberg) Zoss. The family moved to a farm southwest of Armour, South Dakota and Leann attended school in Armour. She married Verlyn W. Schuldt on March 28th, 1953 in Tripp, South Dakota. Veryln preceded Leann in death on December 23, 2003.
She worked at various places including, Zenith, Insurance Exchange Building, Francis Building, Westwood Nursing Home, Casa De Paz Nursing Home, and Goodwill Industries. Leann enjoyed playing Bingo, working on puzzles, square dancing in her younger years, gardening, crocheting, making apple and rhubarb pies, going to the Farmer’s Market, and taking many vacations over the years. She was a member of the South Sioux City Eagles.
Survivors include her children: Carla (Mark) Davidson of Belton, MO, Tamara Anderson of Sioux City, Randy Schuldt of Sioux City, Victoria (Brad) Dungca of Kansas City, KS and Verlyn Schuldt Jr. (Teri Plautz) of Sioux City; Grandchildren: Stephanie, Louis, Steven, Mike Jr., Krystal, Elizabeth, Jordan, Branden, and Charlee; great grandchildren: Drew, Mason Michael; and brothers: Bennis (Donna) Zoss of Sioux Falls, SD, Larry Zoss of Elk Points, SD, and Jimmy (Jenene) Zoss of West Pueblo, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Verlyn, Children Karlene and Carlyle, great granddaughter Mae Shirley, son-in-law Michael Anderson, brothers: Gary, Marvin, Bennie Wallace, Chuck, Bill, Jerry, and Norman, and a sister Shirley Misner.
