SIOUX CITY | Helen Levin Glazer, 88, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Congregation Beth Shalom, with Rabbi Guy Greene officiating. Private burial will be in Mount Sinai Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Helen was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Sioux City, the daughter of Joseph and Esther (Goodsite) Levin. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Helen returned to Sioux City, where she met her future husband, Milton L. Glazer. The couple were married on Oct. 10, 1950, in Sioux City.
Survivors include her husband, Milton; three children and their spouses, Jane and Harlan Rips of Omaha, and their children, Sara and Anne; James and Liz Glazer of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and their daughter, Madelyn; Bruce and Wendy Glazer of Denver, Colo., and their children, Shayna and David; and a brother and his wife, David and Marcia Levin of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen’s name to the Sioux City Art Center.
