Erdeen L. “Cookie” Wagner, 89, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016, at a local hospital from complications of pneumonia.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2016, with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and a Rosary at 6:30 P.M followed by a vigil service at 7:00 P.M., all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel at 3220 Stone Park Boulevard. Erdeen L., daughter of John and LaVon (Hitchens) Barry, was born July 14, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in 1947. On May 14, 1949, Cookie was united in marriage with Leo Wagner in Sioux City. Cookie was a member of St. Boniface Church, the Rosary Society and Postal Auxiliary. Her last residence was at Sunrise Retirement Community. She enjoyed the activities and the special attention received from the staff. Cookie’s family will always be grateful for the love, care and kindness they bestowed upon her.
Survivors include two sons: Larry Wagner and his wife Nancy and Tom Wagner and his wife Marilyn; Grandsons: Scott (Andrea), Kevin (Julie), Adam (Anjuli), Randy, John and Trent (Claire) Wagner; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are: her husband Leo Wagner; her parents John and LaVon Barry; her sisters Florence Davey Christiansen and Constance Davey Lorenzen; and a brother George Barry.
