Sioux City, IA – Phyllis M. Davis, 87, formerly of Sioux City died August 27, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Olathe, KS.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Phyllis, daughter of Russell and Susie (Moyse) Horton was born August 15, 1929 at Bronson, IA. She was a graduate of Lawton High School.
On February 21, 1948, she married Lloyd W. Davis in Lawton. Phyllis worked as a sales clerk at Younkers in Sioux City for 17 years.
She had been a member at the former Third Presbyterian Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas (Su) Davis of Lincoln, NE; one daughter, Coni Leoni of Olathe, KS; 5 grandsons: J.T. Davis of Lincoln, NE, Chad (Tara) Krieg of Gilbert, AZ, Blake (Amanda) Leoni of Kansas City, Sean Leoni of Tempe, AZ and Joey Leoni of Kansas City; 1 great grandson, Ethan Davis of Lincoln; one sister, Bernice Spink of Sioux City; one brother-in-law, Rolland Strong of Sioux City and two sisters in law: Marge Horton of Sioux City and Arlene Horton of Odebolt, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Cliff and Eldon Horton; two sisters: Mabel (Bert) Weeks and Delores Strong; and one brother in law, Art Spink.
