Bonita R. Dow

Bonita R. “Bonnie” Dow, 73, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Wm J. Vit, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be on hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Funeral Home. Bonnie was born on May 7, 1943 in Sioux City to Everett and Helen (Corcoran) Dow. After graduating from high school she served her country in the U.S. Navy. She worked for many years as a CNA in various nursing homes and doing in home health care as well.

Bonnie enjoyed the company of her pets and was very dedicated to helping the Human Society. She was a long time member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Bonnie is survived by her sisters Patricia Heffernan of Sioux City, Doreen Copeland of Burlington, IA, a brother Terry Dow of San Jose, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
