Jesus C. Gonzalez, 67, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Jesus was born on March 7, 1949 in San Francisco, Del Oro, Chihuahua, Mexico to Agustin and Maria (DeLuz) Gonzalez. He was united in marriage to Lidia Segura on May of 1970 in Fort Morgan, CO. He was employed for 28 years with John Morrell.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, vacationing, dancing and listening to music. He enjoyed spending his free time playing at the casino. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren.

Jesus is survived by his wife Lidia Gonzalez; sons Macario and Jesus and his daughter Leticia Gonzalez all of Sioux City; 11 grandchildren; brothers Agustin, Alfredo and Martin Gonzalez; 2 sisters Elvira Salas and Carmela Gonzalez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and 1 sister.
