Craig Doren

   Craig Doren, age 68, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the Church Of All Nations.    Craig Wyant, son of Floyd and Evonne (Wyant) Doren, was born October 10, 1948, in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1967. Craig worked for AMF and Bowling Trades, building bowling alleys throughout the country until forming his own company in 1982, continuing in the business until retiring in 2015. In 2004, Craig was united in marriage with Barbara (Holmes) Modlin, inheriting two daughters.

   Craig was a member of the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, and playing guitar with family and friends. His greatest enjoyment was being at home, visiting with neighbors, having fish frys, and tinkering around the property, always renewing or fixing something.

   Survivors include his wife Barb of Sioux City; daughters Tina (Nathan) Cunigan and Janelle Modlin; five grandchildren: Nathan Braaten, Haylie Braaten, Michael Cunigan, Rebecca Cunigan and Cheyenne Steemken; a brother Gaylord (Eleanor) Doren of Walnut Creek, CA; a sister Deanna (Clarence “Jr.”) Lovell of Urbandale; a brother-in-law Billy Holmes of Sioux City; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clyde (Ginger) Doren and Dick (Pat) Doren; and a nephew Mickie.
