Judith A. “Judie” Miller, 76 of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Ireton, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital after a brief illness.
Private family services will be held July 30, 2016. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Judie was born July 28, 1939 in Ireton, Iowa the daughter of Kenneth W. and Frances G. (DeRaad) Miller. She grew up and graduated from Ireton High School in 1957. After graduating from Iowa State University in 1961, she began her career in home economics education in Ashland, Ohio. Judie was most proud that she established a dietician consulting service in Portland, Oregon. For the last 32 years she made her home in Omaha.
Judie loved to read and loved music. Most of all she loved being with her family.
Survivors include her five siblings, Dick (Sheryl) Miller of Ireton, Iowa, Denny (Linda) Miller of West Lafayette, Indiana, Margi (Mark) Banner of Northville, Michigan, Bonnie (Dirk) Lohry of McCook Lake, South Dakota, and Ken “Buzz” (Bethia) Miller, Jr., of Middleton, Ohio; and 18 nieces and nephews and their families.
