William T. Cowan, Sr

William T. Cowan, Sr., 55 of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and a time of sharing memories at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bill was born July 14, 1960 at Glasckow Air Force Base, MT; he was the son of Harold Keith and Ann Lavon (Boardman) Cowan.

Bill worked at IBP for 13 years and has been an employee of MidAmerican Energy for 18 years. He loved to ride his Harley, spend weekends on his boat, ride around in his 1968 Chevelle and spend quality time with his grandsons.

Bill is survived by his children: William T. Cowan Jr. and his wife Tashsa, Laura Cowan and her husband David Hankins Jr. and Keith Cowan all of Sioux City; 3 grandsons: Dakoda L. Jepsen, Kaiden M. Cowan and Grayson T. Cowan; 2 brothers Larry Cowan and Dwayne Cowan; his significate other Melissa Ehlers and 3 step sons: Jasun Comer, Alex Comer and Frank “Moose” Shults all of Sioux City.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Diana Gregg, his parents, a brother Gordon Cowan and a son Christopher Cowan.
