Sharon A. Swift

Sharon A. Swift, 72, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 7^th 2016 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time starting at noon with Rev. Del Olivier of Augustana Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery

Sharon was born September 30, 1943 in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of Clarence and Haddad (Mayme) Schnepf. She graduated from Remsen Union High School and NBT College. Sharon lived in Remsen, Iowa until the age of 18 when she moved to Sioux City and remained a resident until her death.

Sharon married Barrie Swift July 31, 1981 in Sioux City, Iowa.

She was employed with, Mid American Energy until her retirement in 1995 after serving for 28 years as a gas clerk.

Sharon enjoyed the boat and Winnavegas. Loved to joke around with family and friends. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

Mrs. Swift was a 35 year member of AA.

She is survived by her husband Barrie Swift of Sioux City, daughter Stacey Rubio of Sioux City, step-son; Mike Swift of and his wife Kathy of Olathe, KS, step daughter; Christal Kitto and her husband Will, of Sioux City. Nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren. One sister; Charlene Meisner of Waukesha, Wis., and one nephew Nickolas Meisner.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one Uncle Leo Schnepf.
