Tommy Kellogg, age 63, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel where visitation will be from 10 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Tommy Ryan, son of Clyde and Helen (Kahler) Kellogg, was born October 6, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1972. Tommy then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his honorable discharge in 1977, he returned to Sioux City and went to school to be a truck driver and carpenter. He worked and was Chief Union Steward at Metz Bakery, retiring after 25 years. During his retirement, Tommy worked as a truck driver and bus assistant.
On July 17, 2005, Tommy was united in marriage with Brenda Jorgensen in Elk Point, South Dakota.
Tommy enjoyed playing solitaire, fishing, traveling, watching the Minnesota Vikings, gardening, cooking and having his family over to eat. He enjoyed decorating his Morningside home for Christmas and attending the Morningside Days parade.
Tommy is survived by his wife Brenda Jorgensen of Sioux City; two step-daughters Staci Jorgensen and Charlee (Robert) Kirkpatrick, all of Sioux City; two grandsons Brayden and Keasten Jorgensen; his brother-in-law Ray Braband of Westfield; nieces Desyeray Fetterman of Sioux City and Kayreray Braband of Westfield; a nephew Tyrone Braband of Sioux City; and by a great-niece and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Clydeyne Kellogg-Braband, and brothers.
