Virginia R. Doren, 78, of North Sioux City, South Dakota passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Virginia was born on August 7, 1937 in Sioux City to Mark and Vera (McKenna) Weaver. She married Clyde R. Doren in March of 1954 in Sioux City. She was a loyal employee of the Palmer Candy Company for 56 years, retiring in 2015. Virginia enjoyed camping, bowling, and enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona. She was an awesome cook, and always made sure everyone was cared for.
Virginia is survived by her sons Terry Doren and his wife Nancy and Danny Doren and his wife Leisa, all of North Sioux City, SD; two grandchildren Mark Doren and Melissa Smith; four great-grandchildren Carter, Madison, Tyler, and Rilee; and three step-grandchildren T.J., Amie, and Holly.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde in 2012, and son Mickey Doren.
