Bruce J. "Bubba" Bunce

Bruce Bunce, age 59 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Westlawn Presbyterian Church, where visitation take place from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Bruce Jon, son of Robert and Anna (Canady) Bunce, was born April 26, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa. Bruce attended Sioux City Community Schools, earning his GED from WIT. He continued his education from WIT receiving his certificate in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration. Bruce told many stories and jokes and had an amazing comedic sarcasm that would have you laughing till you had tears running down your face. Bruce had several jobs and enjoyed providing for his family. He deeply loved his family and friends and they knew his door was always open for those in need. Bruce enjoyed reading and watching westerns. He cherished the time spent with his grandkids.

Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Kim Bunce; a daughter Becky and her husband (Bruces’s best friend) Steven Barker; three grandsons: Travis Barker, Johnathan Bunce, and Thomas Barker; several honorary grandchildren; his mother Anna Bunce; a sister Gayle (Marvin) Couron; his brothers: Keith Bunce; David (Nancy) Bunce and Rick (Sandy) Bunce; brothers from another mother include: Homed Aslani, John Bell, Steve Herfel, Nick Fondoulakis, Alan Metz and Chuck Johns.

He was preceded in death by his son James (Jim) Bunce; his dad Robert (Bob) Bunce and his brother Jeffrey (Jeff) Bunce.
