Norma Jean Slavik, 86 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Touchstone Healthcare Community. Memorial Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online Condolences may be offered to the family at

Norma was born on June 11, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Welton and Lavada (Brandon) Williams. She married Robert Morris in Norman, Oklahoma in 1944, and the couple later divorced. Norma married Frank Slavik in LaVerne, Minnesota in 1957. The couple moved their family to Sioux City, Iowa in 1957. She was a caregiver. Norma’s favorite thing was rocking a baby, taking care and loving children. Norma never met a stranger, she was loved, and returned love equally to those she met throughout her life, including the staff at the Touchstone Healthcare Community. She loved the outdoors, and will be lovingly remembered.
Norma is survived by her sons Cliff Morris and his wife Sheila of Urbandale, Iowa, Gary Morris and his wife Annie of Oklahoma, Lewis Morris of Florida, and Al Slavik and his wife Lisa of Missouri; 8 grandchildren; niece Jane Hemmingstad and her family of Sioux City.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, grandson Paul Morris, Granddaughter Cassandra Morris, daughter Terri Sulzbach, sister Shirley Daniel, and brothers Steve and Jerry Williams.
