David Leroy, son of John and Lois Kreider, was born November 17, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up and spent a lot of his life in Omaha; he graduated from Omaha North High School and studied at various trade schools. He moved to Sioux City in the early 1980’s while working for BPI. He worked for the company for many years until he no longer became physically able. After that he became a jack of all trades; he was a cabdriver, a limo driver, a carpenter, an all around handyman and even a Santa around Christmas.

After many years of being together, on May 8, 2008, David was united in marriage with Marcia Kliment at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

David enjoyed staying busy, being outside, being with his family, and talking to just about everybody. He was a great listener and always gave the best advice. It was very rare to see David without a smile on his face. Family was the most important thing to David.

Survivors include: his wife Marcia Kreider; two sons Zachary Kreider and Matthew Kreider; three daughters: Yvonne Kreider, Maria Kreider, and Lois Kreider; seven stepchildren: Dawnita, Cassandra, Shannon, Shawn, Angela, Teresa and Christy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Julia and a son David Kreider.
