She was born on January 12, 1942 to Ralph “Jiggs” and Mary (Loew) Harrison in Carroll, IA. She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School. She worked hard all her life, beginning at Steele Simon/Stock yards, followed by many years at Blue Cross Blue Shield, and finally retiring at St. Luke's Hospital.  Hopefully she will be remembered for the many flannel blankets she made for newborns at the hospital, and for all her the nieces and nephews.

She had a red thunderbird at one time in her life, with a HUGE engine. She always had a HUGE smile whenever she drove it.  She also had a pup for a while and they loved each other dearly. "No" was not in her vocabulary, but "Thank you” always was.  She will be missed by those she touched, and those that loved her.

The family she left behind will miss her terribly.  Four sisters, Joan (Stewart) Tryon of Lincoln, NE; Pam Brown of Sioux City; Mary (Neil) Duffy of New Jersey; and Deb Harrison-Streff of Minnesota; 10 nephews, and 3 nieces.  She loved her nieces and nephews, and all the" grands" that came after.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Donna Carda and Betty Fischer and a nephew Ben Brown.
