Elaine D. Bue, 91, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Sunrise Care Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stephen S. Niles officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. by Chaplain Mark Westrich at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Elaine was born on December 18, 1924 in Sioux City to Morris and Genevieve (Villim) Bruckner. She graduated from East High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Bue on July 10, 1948 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2010. She was a housewife and loving mom to her three children.                                                    

Elaine enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, especially poker, and family get togethers.  She also enjoyed collecting musical stuffed animals and putting together family photo albums.  She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the girls of ‘44.

She is survived by her son Ron (Terry) Bue of Storm Lake, IA; 2 daughters Linda (Virgil) Lidgett of Chatsworth, IA and Nancy (Robert) Bates of Bronson, IA; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Daniel Bates, sisters Blanche Rustwick and Darlene Little.
