SIOUX CITY | Barry Jensen, 51, of Malvern, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at a hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, where Barry’s family will greet friends after 10 a.m. Online condolences may be given atwww.meyerbroschapels.com.
Barry Charles Jensen was born on Dec. 8, 1964, in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from East High School and attended Western Iowa Tech, where he studied computer programming.
On Aug. 20, 1993, Barry was united in marriage with Teresa Soule in Dakota City, Neb. Barry worked as a computer programmer in several states including Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, Iowa and Nebraska.
He enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles, fishing, caring for his cockatiel birds, and playing video and computer games. He had a big heart and was always willing to help people out. He cherished the time spent with his family.
Barry is survived by his wife, Teresa Jensen of Malvern; four children, Ted, Tabetha, Ben and Elliott of Malvern; his mother, Sherry Dickson Chamberlain of Syracuse, Utah; a brother, Kirk Jensen of Creston, Iowa; a sister, Kim Uhl and husband, Bob of Syracuse, Utah; parents-in-law, Irvin and Annette Soule of Sioux City; brothers and sisters in-laws, Debbie Nibbelink and husband, Kevin of Sioux Center, Iowa, Mark Soule and wife, Micki of Bronson, Iowa, and Don Soule and wife, Rhonda of Sioux City; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Yolanda Dickson.
