Norene K. Rasmussen

Norene K. Rasmussen, 74 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at a Sioux City Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 6, 2016 at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Dakota Dunes, SD, Rev. Ed Pierce will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday February 5, 2016 at the church.

Norene was born May 31, 1941 in Sacramento California

She married John W. Rasmussen on August. 16, 1963 in Elk Point, SD.

Norene was employed in food service working for school districts in Kansas.

Mrs. Rasmussen was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church where she volunteered numerous hours of service to her church. 

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, shopping and reading

Survivors include her; 5 sons: Joe Allen Rasmussen and his wife Pat of Florida, John Ray Rasmussen and his wife RoxAnn of Shelby, NE, Jeffrey John Rasmussen of Park City, KS, Jerry William Rasmussen and his wife Tanya of Dakota Dunes, SD, Jason Michael Rasmussen of Memphis, TN; brother Clint Schott and his wife Charlene of Portland, OR., 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and special friends Pat and Jean.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother Ernest Michael Schott and one sister Alice Schott.
