Nancy E. Hodge, 75 of Sioux City, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Pastor Mike Cooper officiating. Visitation, with family present, will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be on Friday, February 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Nancy was born on May 25, 1940, in Onawa, Iowa. She received her education in numerous schools, graduating in 1958 while living in Ute, Iowa. She married Reverend Elmer Hodge on December 24, 1955, in Onawa. While raising her family, and her husband following his calling within his ministry, the family made their home in numerous communities, including: Sioux City, IA; Forsyth, MO; Bloomfield, CO; Weslaco and Mercedes, TX; Lawrence, KS; Mason City, IA; Sullivan, MO; Council Bluffs, IA; North Platte, NE; New Castle, WY; Lamar, NE; Litchfield, NE; Ute, IA; and Onawa, IA. Nancy was a proud member of the Church of Christ/Christian Church in most of the locations listed. Nancy was the Administrative Coordinator for the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors from 1980 until 2000 when she retired. She was a member of the Professional Secretaries International, serving as the Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the local chapter, and Treasurer of the State of Iowa chapter.
Nancy is survived by her children Pamela Hodge of Arvada, CO., Trevor (Lori) Hodge of Sioux City, IA., and Laura (Ronald) Wilcox of Sioux City, IA.; grandchildren, Stephen Vermeer, Kevin Vermeer, Trevor Hodge II, Andrew Hodge, Scott Hodge, Tiffany Huntley, Amber Wilcox, and Adam Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Jackson Daniels, William Huntley, and Arizona Risner; brothers Robert Jochims, Richard Callaway, and James Callaway; sisters Christine Moline, Karen Wittern, and Jolene Heine.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Viola Callaway Sheldon, Stepfather Edward Callaway, husband Elmer Hodge on May 30, 2015, brother Larry Callaway, and sister Deborah Cagle.
