Max Allen Hool, Jr.

Max Allen Hool, Jr, 46 of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital after an extended battle with cancer.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the First Christian Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Max was born July 16, 1969 in Cedar Falls, IA; he was the son of Max Allen and Patty (Eastman) Hool, Sr. Max grew up in Grundy Center, IA; he graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1989.

Max worked at the Casino in Tama, IA where he met his future wife Lisa. Max and Lisa were married on October 10, 2008 in Tama, IA.

He enjoyed spending time on the computer playing World of Warcraft, fishing and collecting scrap metal with his father.

Survivors include his wife Lisa of Sioux City; his parents: Max and Patty Hool, Sr. of Sioux City; his sister: Christine Pencil and her husband Duane of Sioux City; nieces: Stephanie Pencil and her fiancé Jeff Todd, Leanna Pencil and her fiancé Kelly Wilt, Heather Pencil and Patricia Fredrickson and his nephew: Phillip Pencil.

Max was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Nona Hool and Kenneth and Dorothy Eastman and his nephew: Michael Pencil and several aunts and uncles.
