Lana F. Worden, 64 of Sioux City passed away Monday January 18, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 21, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. James Travis of Calvary Lutheran officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 4 till 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 till 8 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. .
Lana F. Worden was born June 5, 1951 in Sioux City Iowa the daughter of Elven and Christine (Simons) Henshaw. Lana attended and graduated from Sioux City Community Schools and was employed with Mercy Medical Center as a Physical Therapy Technician.
She married Dennis Winters January 23, 1970 and to this marriage two sons were born Brad and Jeremy. She married Bob Worden on December 6 1974 and to this marriage two sons were born Troy and Michael.
Lana enjoyed BINGO, bowling, playing any card game. She made blankets; loved watching the WWE and listening to Kenny Rogers, attending the Renaissance Festival in Riverside Park. She loved the color purple, but her greatest joy came with taking care of the grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Lana is survived by her husband Bob Worden of Sioux City, four sons: Brad Winters of Minnesota and Jeremy Winters of Sioux city, Troy Worden and his wife Jessie of Dakota Dunes and Michael Worden and wife Jamie of Sioux City Two brothers: Larry Henshaw and his wife Cathy of Sioux City and Mike Henshaw of Sioux City, Sister Pam Velasquez and her husband Louie of Sioux City, Brother in law Tom Wamberg and his son Jason Wamberg Six grandchildren: Chelsey, Adria, Tommy, Galiee, Eden and Noah Dean, and one great grandchild Josie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step son Bobby Worden, brother Steve Henshaw and twin sister Linda Wamberg.
