Ann K. Hagestrom

Ann K. Hagestrom, 65, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Westwood Nursing Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Grant officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial of her cremains will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Ann was born on September 28, 1950 in Sioux City to Lawrence and Lucille (Woolworth) Wilcox. She graduated from Central High School in 1969. She worked as a CNA at Countryside Senior Living for 16 years. She was married to John William Hagestrom, Sr. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2003.

Ann enjoyed drawing, knitting, singing, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She received the Presidential Award for volunteering her countless hours over the years at the Friendship House. Ann was a devout Christian.

She is survived by her son John (Liz) Hagestrom of Hinton, IA; daughter JoAnn (Bill) Peters of Hinton, IA; Grandchildren Caitlin Hagestrom of Hinton, IA; William Hagestrom of Hinton, IA; Dana Hagestrom of Sioux City; Lathen Hagestrom-Hasler of Hinton, IA; and Elli King-Peters of Sergeant Bluff, IA; brother-sister-in-law Richard (Sharon) Wilcox of Sioux City; brother-sister-in-law Douglas (Mardean) Wilcox of Fort Dodge, IA; brother-sister-in-law David (Cassie) Wilcox of Des Moines, IA; sister-brother-in-law Karen (John) Howard of Hubbard, NE; 3 sisters Sherry Nash; Julie Nelson; and Becky Wilcox all of Sioux City; and sister-in-law Judy Wilcox of Rapid City, SD.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Don Wilcox, brother-in-law Robert Nash, and brother-in-law Barry Nelson.
