Ted C. Prichard, 82, of Sioux City passed away peacefully Monday Dec. 21, 2015 at Westwood Nursing Center.
The family will hold a private service at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyersbroschapels.com.
Ted was born May 8, 1933, in Baker, MT, to Roy and Lucinda (Greenough) Prichard. He grew up in Ekalaka, MT and moved to Sioux City with his family in 1947. Ted proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Barbara Scott. Ted was the owner Prichard Tower which he started with Jerry O’ Connor in 1970. The successful business later became Communication Services, Inc. of North Sioux City. Ted retired from the business in 1992.
Ted spent over 40 years wintering in Florida with Barbara, his family and many friends. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting trips in Florida, Canada and Montana. He also enjoyed boating and playing cards, but most of all, he spent time with his family and loved to be a Grandpa.
Survivors include; three daughters and their husbands, Teddy Ann and Greg Anderson of McCook Lake, SD, Tammy and Nick Stamoulis of Milford, IA and Tracy and Keith Christiansen of Naperville, IL,; a daughter in-law, Joan Prichard of Roswell, GA; one son, Rick Prichard of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother Kenneth (Kay) Prichard of Riverside, CA; three sisters, Pat Jorgenson, Shirlee and Paul Bohlke, Terry Hansen, all of Sioux City; numerous nieces and nephews and an extended family of dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; sons Roy, Randy, Rodney; and siblings, Guy, June, Donny, Betty, Jean, Roy Jr., Sherry and Bill.
