James K. Sak, 68, of Sioux City formerly of Chicago, IL passed away on November 23, 2015 at Brookdale on Pierce Street Care Center. Per his wishes, his body was cremated and private Military graveside honors will be performed by the U.S. Army Reserves in the Logan Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. After he graduated from high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After he returned home from the service, he served the city of Chicago for 32 years as a Police Officer. He enjoyed watching sports and going golfing. He was also a nature lover and enjoyed tending to his flower garden. Jim also enjoyed listening to music and was an avid bowler. The family requests that memorial donations be made in Jim’s name and sent to the Commission of Veterans Affairs at 1211 Tri-View Ave. in Sioux City, IA 51103.
