Mary Jo Kluver, 69 of Sioux City passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at her residence after a short illness with her family by her side
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Armand Bertrand will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. There will be a rosary recited at 4:00 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Mary Jo was born January 7, 1946 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Black) Iversen. Mary Jo grew up in Sioux City, attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and then graduated from Heelan High School in 1964. She did insurance work and worked as an LPN at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. Mary Jo married Denny Kluver June 27, 1980 in Spencer, IA. MJ was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church and received strength from her faith, she had a special love for the rosary. MJ loved to read and cherished her time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Denny of Sioux City; 2 children: Marcus of Sioux City, Jenny Yates and her husband Sam and a grandson on the way of Sioux City, her brothers and sisters: Joh Robert Iversen of Sioux City, Judith Grant of San Antonio, TX, Theresa Rouse and her husband Tom of Sioux City, Mark Iversen and his wife Vannie of Goodlettsville, TN;. Mary Jo is also survived by her mother in law: Della Kluver of Remsen, IA.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Margaret Solberg, 3 brothers: George Edward Iversen, James Andrew Iversen and Chris Andrew Iversen; her father in law; Herman Kluver.
