Marilyn I. Rogers, 87, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Hallmark Care Center. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenny Hsu. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Berger Northside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Marilyn was born on February 10, 1928 in Des Moines, IA to Robert and Jenny (Running) Burnett. She graduated from Seward High School. Marilyn was married to Norman Rogers on January 10, 1948 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2005 in Sioux City. She was a home maker raising her 3 children. She enjoyed refurnishing furniture and doing various painting projects for family. She was very involved with her family and enjoyed being there for them and helping in any way she could. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, Altar Guild and was a Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by her 3 children, Steve (Leona) Rogers; Mickey (Charles) Striegel; Laurie (Doug) Behrens all of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren, Kristy (Brian) Bursick; Eric Striegel; Bryan (Mandy) Rogers; Alyson (Travis) Cardwell; and Brett Welling; 8 great grandchildren; brother Richard Burnett of San Antonio, TX; sisters Beverly McCallister of Sioux City and Colleen Webb of AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
