Mary L. Jones

Mary L. Jones, 92, of Sioux City passed away of natural causes Sunday November 8, 2015 at her residence at Prime Assisted Living. Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday November 14, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday November 13, 2015 from 4 till 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary L. Jones was born August 12, 1923 in Sioux City Iowa the daughter of William and Carrie (Hitt) Webb. She attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High School and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Mary lived in Sioux City, Iowa her entire life. Mary was employed at American Popcorn for 40 years and a longtime member of the American Popcorn family. She is survived by her daughter: Judy Thompson of Sioux City; son: Jim Huisman of Anthon, Iowa, Granddaughter: Deborah Dillon (Randy) of Bancroft, NE, Grandson: Gary Burton of Sioux City, Granddaughter: Glen Hase (Jeff Evenson) of Fargo North Dakota; two great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and five siblings. Special thank you goes to her family at American Popcorn factory, the late Dr. Thor Swanson, Dr. James Webb and the staff at Prime Assisted Living her home.
