Rita Marie Boeshart, 89 of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Char Mac Assisted Living in Lawton, IA after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dixon, NE. Father Gerald Feierfeil will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday with a rosary recited at 4:30 P.M. and a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Rita was born March 10, 1926 in Dixon, NE; she was the daughter of John and Rose (Duffy) Murray. Rita was one of 11 children and grew up in the Dixon area. She married Phillip Dale Boeshart February 14, 1944 in Dixon, NE and they remained in Dixon until the family of 9 moved to Sioux City in 1960. Rita raised her 7 children and was a homemaker. In 1968, the family moved to Morningside Ave and Rita began working at Billy Sunday Retirement Home where she worked for 20 years. Phillip passed away September 4, 1998 in Ponca, NE. Rita was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Sioux City. She was known for all of her homemade food, especially her chicken & noodles, mashed potatoes, homemade buns, chocolate cake and roasted pheasant. Survivors include her children: Gary Boeshart of Sioux City, Mary O'Keefe and her husband David of Minnetristra, MN, Steven Boeshart and his wife Robyn of Maxwell, NE., Diana Wrenn and her husband David of Sioux City, Lyle Boeshart and his wife Karen of Otsego, MN, Randy Boeshart and his wife Nancy of Kasilof, AK; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. We send a wish of eternal peace and happiness to our mom. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phillip Dale Boeshart, a son Richard Joseph Boeshart, 9 brothers and 1 sister.
