Bernard F. Bock

SIOUX CITY | Bernard F. Bock, 87, of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, a local nursing home. Memorial services will be 10:00 .am., October 17, 2015 at the Radiant Life Community Church, 423 George Street, Sioux City. Bernard "Bernie" Bock was born February 20, 1928 in Moville, Iowa the son of Hans and Mable (Boland) Bock. He graduated in 1945 from Hinton High School and then served three years in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1947 until honorably discharged in 1950. Bernie married Phyllis Corder on June 29, 1951 from Sioux City and they moved to San Diego, California where Bernie worked in the milk service industry and was district manager for the Nestle Company when he retired. In retirement they moved back to Sioux City in 1991 and built a home in Riverside. Bernie is survived by a sister Grace (Gene) Becker, a sister in-law Elizabeth L. Bock, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis on March 24, 2003, his parents, brother and sister in-law's Earl and Louise Wilkerson, Ardis and Ed Gray, and Clara and Jim Engelbrigtson, and one brother Paul Bock.
