Thomas Jeffrey Hicklin, 48 of Sioux City passed away suddenly on Monday, October 5, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Daniel Rupp will officiate. Following graveside services at Logan Park Cemetery, everyone is invited to the Blessed Sacrament School Gymnasium for a luncheon. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Thursday with a rosary recited at 6:30 P.M. and a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Tom was born February 2, 1967 in Sioux City; he was the son of Dennis and Mary (Mueller) Hicklin. Tom grew up in Sioux City and attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and then graduated from North High School in 1985. During high school, Tom worked and became good friends with Archbishop Schnurr and Bishop Soens. He married Belinda Carson March 10, 1990 and they were married for 25 years. Tom worked for Mercy Medical Center, Direct Transit and then for almost 20 years for Royal Canin (formerly IAMS). Tom dedicated his life to giving the best possible life to his children. He loved watching his children play sports. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Tom enjoyed fishing, golfing and cooking and spending time in Stone Park. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Survivors include his children: Alexander Hicklin of Sioux City and Tiffany Hicklin of Boone, IA; his parents: Dennis and Mary Ellen Hicklin of Sioux City; his former wife: Belinda Carson of Des Moines, IA, His brothers and sisters: Dan Hicklin (Kathy) of Mt. Clair. NJ, Randy Hicklin (Danetta) of Sioux City, Tammy Eveleth (John) of Sioux City, Holly Camamo (Ted) of Ft. Dodge, IA, Tim Hicklin (Wendy) of Dakota Dunes, SD. Tom is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his best friend Kelly Johnson (Karyn) other family members and business associates. Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lillian and Joseph Hicklin and Paul and Mildred Mueller. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Tom's name.
