Carolyn J. Spencer

Carolyn Jean (Percy) Spencer, age 75, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. Carolyn's wish was to be cremated and her wishes have been honored. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel has assisted the family. She was born, raised, and lived in Sioux City. Daughter of Dale and Lillian Percy (both deceased). Former wife of James Ramen Spencer (deceased). She lived in the apartment that they had originally shared when first married. Carolyn was very proud that she earned her High School GED and achieved an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Her family was equally proud. She was sister and friend of Bonnie (Percy) Wilmot; sister-in-law of Richard Wilmot, Sr.; proud mother of Jay C' Spencer and Mark R' Spencer; wonderful grandmother to Mark's daughter who blessed Carolyn with three great-grandchildren; loving Aunt of Richard Wilmot, Jr. ("Nature boy"), David Wilmot (Senior Chief, USN - Retired), Randy Wilmot (deceased), and Chawn (Wilmot) Yates and her son Joshua Wilmot. Rebel, lover of knowledge, hard worker, generous, forgiving, and caring parent. Her family all loved her. She is long missed. God bless and keep her.
