Zachary E. Carter, 25, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at home in his Mom's arms. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at First Congregational Church with Reverend Ryan Dowell Baum officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. There will also be a wild and crazy celebration of life bonfire held later at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Rivercade Office in Riverside Park, 1201 Council Oak Drive. Zach was born April 9, 1990 in Sioux City, the son of Scott and Stephanie (Dyhrkopp) Carter. He graduated from North High School and attended Western Iowa Tech. Zach was very active at North High School participating in swimming and football. He had a true passion for life and loved fishing, hanging out with friends, working on his truck, and spending time with his family. He loved hot wings, pizza, and his favorite Italian chicken that he always made. Zach worked for Rocket Detail, where he met many of his good friends. In high school, Zach was given the nickname "Fatty", even though he wasn't fat! He always had a smile on his face and was ready to help anyone in need. He had a short but wonderful ride through life. He will be missed by his friends, family, and his cat Izzy. Zach is survived by his mother Stephanie Carter (Randy Chapman) of Sioux City, father Scott (Vickie) Carter of Sgt. Bluff, sister Shelby Carter (Craig Norris) and niece Peyton of Meriden, KS, and Kailey Carter (Jimmy Kerby) and nephew Chase Carter of Sioux City, Grandparents: Chris Dyhrkopp of Sioux City, Barbara Dyhrkopp Davis (Bob Davis) of North Sioux City, SD, Phyllis Carter of Sioux City, Gary (Nancy) Carter of Arkansas; Aunts Brenda (Mark) Olson and their children Julia and Aleica, Sonja (Craig) Grimsley and their children Louden and Kellen, and Belinda (Brian) Pollock and children; Uncles: Chad (Jodi) Dyhrkopp and their children Cassidy and Christian, Brian (Cathy) Dyhrkopp and their son Andy, Brent (Carla) Dyhrkopp and their son Cody, and Matt (Chrissy) Carter and their son Tristin. Zach is also survived by his special friends at Rocket Detail, that were a blast to work alongside with, and many other friends including his special friend Amber Gran and her son P.J.
