Marcella M. Scott, 93 of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at a care facility in Odebolt, IA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Rev. Tom LoVan will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Marcella was born April 4, 1922 in Bloomfield, NE; she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Rohwer) Lenz. Marcella's family came to Sioux City in 1924. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School. Marcella married Frank H. Scott March 8 1947 in Sioux City; he died February 19, 1996 in Sioux City. Marcella was a home maker until her children were in high school and then she worked in retail in Sioux City. She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church, Isis Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star, Daughters of the Nile and the U.S.S. Oklahoma Association of Pearl Harbor Survivors. Survivors include her children: Donna Rhubottom of Council Bluffs, IA, Bruce Scott of Tulsa, OK; 5 grandchildren: Melissa Pierce (James), Scott Rhubottom, Jay Rhubottom (Michelle), Mattie Scott and Kate Scott; 7 great grandchildren. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers: Walter, John and Leonard Lenz; her sister: Laura Junck and her son in law: James Rhubottom. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Marcella's name.
