SIOUX CITY | Holly Ann Kiser, 87, of Sioux City passed away suddenly Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at her home. A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., in Sioux City. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Holly was born on Aug. 7, 1928, in Martinsburg, Iowa, to Jesse James Quick and Effie Earl Davis Quick, the youngest of 11 children. Holly graduated from high school in 1945. She married Robert Kiser in 1947. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking large meals for her extended family. Holly also enjoyed traveling and for several retirement years spent winter months in Florida where her husband, Bob, enjoyed golfing. She had been a resident of Woodbury County since 1960. Holly is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert H. Kiser; four children and spouses, Roderick (Shelley) of Winter Park, Fla., Lou Anna Kiser-Townsend (Bruce) of Sioux City, Jo Ellen Carlson (Larry) of Tucson, Ariz., and Randy (Therese) of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Anthony of Sioux City, Michael (Dana) of Norfolk, Va., Katie Kiser-King (Derick) of Landover, Md., Rory of Minneapolis, Jackson of Minneapolis, Victoria Carlson-VanTol (Colin) of Omaha, and Alan Carlson of Tucson; three great-grandchildren, Brianna Renner, Matthew King and Kelly Kiser; numerous nieces, nephews and a very special niece, Martha Hix Lane of Bella Vista, Ark., and daughter of her late sister, Marie Quick Hix Barber. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 10 siblings, Glenn, Merle, Doyle, Dale, Archie, Irvin, Robert, William, Dorothy, and Marie; and a grandson, Liam John Robert Kiser.
