Peggy Taylor

Peggy Taylor, age 80, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 31, 2015, from 5 PM to 8 PM with Peggy's family present from 6 PM to 8PM and a Prayer Service at 7 PM, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Peggy was born November 15, 1934 to Dale and Alta (Larson) Collins. She graduated from Leeds High School in 1953. Peggy married Gerald D. "Jerry" Taylor on March 20, 1953, to whom two children were born, Michael and Gayle Taylor. Peggy worked for the school system in the lunch program for 20 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Peggy loved helping at the church, and helping the elderly. She also loved going to sporting events of her children, nephews and nieces. She was very active. Peggy is survived by her son Michael (Marilyn) Taylor; daughter Gayle Taylor; grandson Travis(Tony) Taylor; brother Jerry (Sharon) Collins; and several nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry on January 21, 1999, sister Patty and her husband Wendell Staab, mother-in-law Alice, and a brother-in-law Jim Taylor.
