Richard L. "Dickie" Worden, 67, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence following a brief battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Kenny Hsu officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2015 from 4-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Dickie was born May 13, 1948 in Sioux City, the son of Richard and Viola (Maschmeier) Worden. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School. Dickie worked at IBP for 20 years, as a truck driver for Sioux City Brick and Tile, and also as a welder for Professional Pipe. Dickie married Sharon Miller on June 3, 1967, to this union Billy and Kim were born. He married Evelyn Doohen on December 14, 1973. To this union, Dixie was born. Dickie loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, and was a good artist. Survivors include his father Richard F. Worden of Sioux City; son Billy (Kerie) Worden of Sioux City; daughters Kim Bowser and Dixie Worden both of Sioux City; brother Bob (Lana) Worden of Sioux City; sister Mary (Wade) Swords of Sioux City; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a special friend Kim Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother Viola Worden and a nephew Robert Worden Jr.
