Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Dash came into this word in a hurry on June 8th, 1988 in Sioux City, IA. He was a tiny little thing. He came in a dash and was no bigger than a dash. He was such an inquisitive little boy, always asking why? And, what if? That curiosity of knowledge continued with him as he grew into the amazing man he became. His bright smile made the whole world smile with him. He could make a new friend in an instant and he made hundreds! He made a lasting impact on everyone he crossed paths with. He loved his family and friends and was never afraid to show them; and, his family loved him more than the world. He gave the best hugs ever, always holding on for that extra second. Dash graduated with honors from Northwood Public School in Northwood, ND in 2007, where he was active in golf. He earned a Regional Player of the Year in golf and was the Regional Golf Champion. He went onto get his Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Evolution from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. In the beautiful fields of Montana, Dash discovered his love of bumblebees when Harvard University offered him an internship. His passion and hard work earned him an opportunity to continue his bee research at Harvard's Ecology lab, Harvard Forest in Petersham, MA and field studies in Finland. Dash didn't stop there. It was on to Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH where he took over the Bee Lab and began his research for his PhD. He was currently a PhD student of Entomology at NCSU in Raleigh, NC where his Dartmouth lab group relocated. "Save the Bees." Dash loved his hobbies and had one for every season. Spring and summer were spent at the golf course. As summer turned into fall, the true Dash came out. The years of practicing duck and goose calls turned Dash into a camouflaged, duck hunting "extraordinaire". When the sloughs froze up, it was on to climbing fresh powder on the mountains of Montana and Idaho on his snowmobile. Dash lived by his motto.Go Big or Go Home.
