Ruth Ann Kinnaman, 79 of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at StoneyBrook Suites Assisted Living Facility with friends by her side. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Riverside United Methodist Church with Reverend Laurice Streyffeler officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Friday, August 14th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Ruth was born in Page, Nebraska on March 25, 1936 to George and Freda (Hladik) Thomas. She was the youngest of four children. She has 6 children with spouses; Linda (Ernie) Otterpohl, Mark (Tami) Benson, Owen (Janet Wiener) Benson, Brenda (Stewart) Howell, Mary (David) Robinette, Amy (Oran) Sweet. Her 15 grandchildren are Emma Otterpohl, Scott (Abbie) Benson, Kodi Benson, Hollie (Ryan) Midtlyng, Katie Buckley, Rachael (Jonathan) Rueppel, Jessica Howell, Brittany Robinette, Logan Robinette, Serena Robinette, Wyatt Robinette, Jeremia Robinette, Kayla (Samuel) Vollmer, Johnathan Sweet and Trevor Sweet. Ruth's 7 great grandchildren are Eleanor, Evan, Tessa, Samantha, Hayden, Serenity, and Arya. Ruth is also survived by her brother George (Jean) Thomas, sister Joyce Coleman and special friend Tom Roberts. Ruth is preceded in death by ex-husband Orville Benson, husband Oliver Kinnaman, brother James (wife Ethel) Thomas, both parents and grandson Thomas Otterpohl.
