Nancy L. Sar, 70, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at a Sioux City Hospital. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Swanson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. She graduated from Marshalltown High School and graduated from Iowa State University. She was united in marriage to Jeff Sar on October 28, 1972 in Vermillion, SD. She was a homemaker raising her 2 children. Nancy had a great love for horses and took great pride in raising and caring for her horses over the years. She also had a special place in her heart caring for the many stray animals that crossed her path. She also enjoyed reading. She was a past volunteer for STARS. She is survived by her husband Jeff Sar of Sioux City; daughter Megan (Onur) Gursoy of Tampa, FL; son Robert (Amber) Sar of Clive, IA; 2 grandchildren Westin and Quinn.
